Verification is what stops anyone else claiming your school
The whole point of the code is that only your school can receive it. Here is where it goes and what happens when it is entered wrongly.
The code goes to your school
It is sent to a number or email already on file, never to one typed in now.
Wrong codes pause the claim
After 5 wrong attempts, verification locks for up to 24 hours and resets at midnight.
Details serve one purpose
They check the claim and run your profile. We ask for more only in a dispute.
